Members will receive either one or two freshly harvested pastured chickens (approximately 4.5-5.5 lbs each) every two weeks (10 total distributions) depending on their share size. Our flavorful chickens are free range birds that are fed certified NOFA organic grains from Lightning Tree Farms in Millbrook NY. They supplement this diet with lots of natural goodies they find walking amongst our pastures.

We will begin offering three varieties of raw milk based Pyreness cheeses in late summer 2009. Stay tuned for where you can find our cheese.

Like our CSA program, all of our chickens are raised on pasture and fed locally grown certified organic grains. Throughout the season we will be offering a mix of common Cornish Crosses and several heritage breeds of chickens such as French Tricolors, Naked Necks and Guinea Fowl (Pintade).

We currently have limited quantities of fresh pastured poultry.  Birds range from 3.5 -6 lbs and are offered for $5/lb.
